“I cannot recommend My Cancer Nutritionist more highly or be more satisfied. Personalised Cancer Nutrition Support

As an Oncology Nutritionist, I take an individualised, metabolic approach to cancer care, supporting clients at all stages—whether during treatment, recovery, or long-term survivorship. My goal is to improve quality of life, enhance treatment outcomes, and help reduce recurrence risks.

A cancer diagnosis brings many challenges, and while nutritional therapy is not a treatment for cancer, it can be a powerful adjunctive tool to support the body’s resilience through the stress of conventional treatments like surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.

While your oncology team focuses on treating the disease, my role as your cancer nutritionist is to support your body’s overall health. Through comprehensive health assessments and functional testing*, I investigate the biological imbalances that may have contributed to cancer development and help optimise the body’s terrain.

My approach integrates multiple aspects of health, including:
Gut microbiome balance – supporting digestion, absorption, and microbial diversity
Hormonal regulation – assessing how hormones influence cancer growth
Inflammation & immune function – helping the body manage oxidative stress
Detoxification & toxin exposure – optimising pathways to remove harmful compounds
Circadian rhythm & stress resilience – improving sleep and stress adaptation
Genetics & epigenetics – using insights to inform personalised nutrition strategies

By combining targeted nutrition, lifestyle interventions, and functional testing, I create personalised plans designed to support your body, complement medical treatment, and improve long-term health.

“You cannot heal in the same environment that made you sick.” (Anon)

How can My Cancer Nutritionist help?

  • If you’ve recently been diagnosed and have a surgery planned, then prehabilitation support can make a big difference with personalised nutrition and physical activity playing a significant part. By working with My Cancer Nutritionist, I’ll tailor a protocol to your specific needs, so you can be confident that you’re preparing your body in the best possible way to reduce complications from surgery, improve recovery times and get yourself to an optimum condition to face the next stage of cancer treatment faster.

  • Chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and hormone therapy may all come with an intimidating list of side effects such as fatigue, nausea, diarrhoea, dry mouth and hot flushes to name a few. By working with My Cancer Nutritionist, I aim to reduce some of these side effects so you can have a better quality of life, as well as potentially improve the efficacy of treatment.

  • After active treatment, you might be feeling utterly lost, and afraid of what to do next or how to return to a new normal. Treatment can really take it’s toll on your body and mind, and also leave you with niggling symptoms that can last months or even years after treatment. This is the time where My Cancer Nutritionist aims to build you up to optimum strength and vitality so you can get back to normality. I may recommend functional tests specific to the type of therapies you’ve had or the ongoing symptoms you may be experiencing as a result of treatment or due to other factors. My aim is to assess and address your issues.

Conventional oncology medicine is very good at using therapies to target tumours, however it doesn’t address any underlying factors which may have favoured the cancer to grow in the first instance. This is what I’ll aim to investigate. I’ll provide you with the tools and guidance that leave you feeling confident and reassured that you’re doing everything to reduce the risk of recurrence.

  • It’s estimated that cancer will affect at least 50% of the population, so it’s more important than ever to strive for “prevention is better than cure”. By focusing on the five pillars of health: nutrition, sleep, physical activity, stress management, and community, I can help you reduce your risk of a cancer diagnosis.

If you’re worried that cancer may run in the family, just remember that “genes load the gun, diet and lifestyle pull the trigger”, meaning you have the power to take charge in many cases.
